Japan, are foreigners stupid?

On September 20, 2007 in Uncategorized

I think this video is:
xenophobic
ridiculous
frustrating
condescending

Not to mention that the production must have cost tens of dollars ;)

Don’t want to be fingerprinted?
KeepingPaceinJapan is doing something about it

Um. I don’t see any of the complaints you have. I think this is one of the best ideas in basic homeland security ever thought of. I wish America would implement this exact same system - both in the airlines and on the borders. It would not only deter terrorist, but might also catch other types of criminals.

Just so you know - my sister-in-law’s husband changed his name (he’s from the middle east) because he was deported once from Japan. He got a new passport and was able to regain entry into the country. What if he was a terrorist? What if he was a drug dealer? Not everybody who visits Japan is a good person.

    @ gaijin

Thanks for commenting. To be fair, I was really opinionated in this post, but how else am I going to get you people to comment :)

About a similar system in the U.S….
    IT EXISTS! *cue dramatic music*
I bet you didn’t expect that, huh? :)
It seems like it did not receive much media coverage, dodgy?
    It’s called US-VISIT
and in fact the same company that made US-VISIT is behind the Japan version. But the details of all of that are the topic of another upcoming post…
