You, Me, and Mari - Interview with “Watashi to Tokyo”
On October 01, 2007 in Interviews

Today on Daily J we are hanging out with Mari from “Watashi to Tokyo”
What’s her blog all about? Let’s hear it from her:
“I am running my personal blog to tell the world what is going on in Tokyo and Japan. I hope you sense REAL and LIVE Tokyo life on my blog.”
Daily J: what motivated you to start blogging?
Mari: I want to introduce the real Japan and Tokyo.
This place is not only for Sushi and Sumo and Samurai don’t walk the town anymore.
Daily J: What part of running a blog is the most fun for you?
Mari: I can share something fun with people around the world.
Daily J: What post is your favourite so far?
Mari: I like funny topics. I laugh at our EngRish mistakes.
One of her recent posts that you have to read is “You’ve Been In Japan Too Long When…”
Daily J: Do you blog also in Japanese?
Mari: No. I had before, but it’s so tough to keep two blogs. So I gave up the Japanese one.
There are very nice and interesting blogs in Japan. I read that the Japanese have the most number of blogs in the world.
What is the most interesting thing you are current working on for your site?
Mari: A few month ago, my blog was published as a
Tokyo guide book in Thailand. That was a big project though.
How you can help Mari out:
Daily J: I noticed that you have a section where you ask people to proofread your posts. Have you had much response to that (are people help in you)? And, if you need more, how can an interested person help you out?
Mari: I have a few proofreaders now. Everyday some of them send me a proofed
post.
They offered to help me by mail and I welcome new offers by mail too.
It is very great that people who I have never met help me.
Thank you Mari for the interview. Keep blogging, we love it!
For all of you out there be sure to visit “Watashi to Tokyo” and give Mari a big hello!
And hurry back tomorrow for some more great interviews.

I visit Mari’s blog often, it is always entertaining and often hilarious!
Thanks for the comment. I love her site too. It is always full of interesting tidbits.
The “you’ve been in Japan too long when…” one really made me laugh because I can relate to far too many of them. A bad sign maybe?
