Connections On The J-web
On January 21, 2008 in Community building, DailyJ Mission, On the J-web
The last time I did a “connections” post was December 5th, so this is much over due.
It’s time to talk a look at what some of the past DailyJ interviewees have been up to and see if we can find connections. I just mentioned on The Japan-related Web series how connections may become opportunities for webmasters to collaborate. I don’t know if these connections will lead to that, but at least I hope they are fun.
Here we go:

Jamaipanese has vowed that he will “tame the beast that is the Japanese language”
RisingSunOfNihon might be of some help with his new Japanese language posts
Thomas from NihonHacks.com recommends AllJapaneseAllTheTime, and I agree.
#2
Meme-tagging between JapanNewbie and RockingInHakata

KeepingPaceInJpan and Waikiki2Yanai talk dentists
KeepingPaceInJapan’s post mentions a service called Access Dental Counseling which would be a perfect tip for NihonHacks to cover!By the way, Turner from KeepingPaceInJapan is going in for surgery so why not take a moment to give him an encouraging comment?

Thanks for the plug, Tori.
My posts are not for beginners. But, the student need not be too far along either.
Japanese is indeed learnable. I mean, even 2- and 3-year olds can speak it. And, many of us have more intelligence than they do, no?

Am HIGHLY recommending this little Gem!!! It keeps track of all your comments on other blogs. It migrates into your template seamlessly as far as I can tell.
C’mon give it a spin! some of the sites I found using it are great!!
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the heads up! I actually just noticed it on your site when I was making a comment and was going to ask you about it.
It looks great!
I think it is time for me to do another “Helping J-bloggers” post.
@RSON,
Now that I think about it, your posts probably are too much for a beginner. I like them though. When I first saw the title I thought they were about actual body language (手振り) but they are phrases that use body parts (clever).
I don’t know about the two year olds though, those children are like sponges. I remember we (all the foreign students) were motivated to practice Kanji so that we could look at the elementary school students with contempt on the way to our uni.
We had them beat on the Kanji front. Unfortunately they only had to open their mouths to put us all to shame…
